ESTHETICIAN EDUCATOR MAKEUP ARTIST REIKI MASTER
Desireé discovered her talent for makeup as a model but owes her passion for beauty and self-care to her late grandmother, “The Beauty Queen”, who never left home without her lipstick. Since moving to New York City Desireé has worked with artists and celebrities in fashion, music, television and film. Her work has been seen on the runways in New York, Paris and international publications such as Vogue Italia, IRK Paris, L’Officiel, ELLE Croatia, Kaltblut Magazine, Harpers Bazar and others. She trained briefly with Chic Studios NYC in airbrush technique before moving on to Makeup Mastered, where she traveled the world to create art with other artists from 80 different countries, ultimately fine tuning her craft back in New York on the job assisting celebrity makeup artists.
Desireé became inspired to launch her first project in October 2018 and published Create Your Own Makeup Image, an artistic coloring book, in hopes to inspire the world by building confidence through
art and creativity. Create Your Own Makeup Image was named # 1 New Release in its category by Amazon and rated #2 out of the top 10 gifts on Amazon for your 13 year old daughter by Fupping Company. The coloring book was featured on Thrive Global Magazine highlighting coloring as a relaxation technique that aids mental wellness and stress reduction. It was also featured by the LA Times at their annual Festival of Books and most recently, used in an art class at Seth Low Intermediate School in Brooklyn, NY. Create Your Own Makeup Image appeared at 5 international exhibits and galleries in 2019 including Europe and Asia, where attendees were able to interact and create their own art images.
In addition to being a Makeup Artist, Desireé is a practicing Licensed Esthetician with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, a Reiki Master, and a Makeup + Skincare educator for John Casablanca Modeling & Career Center. When not working she is lending her knowledge to beauty & skincare writers for articles and columns (Pop Sugar, Elle, DermStore, Self, Prevention Magazine, Elite Daily, Reader’s Digest), meeting new people, learning new things, and seeking adventure. By reaching out and connecting with the world, she hopes to find out just how many times one image can be uniquely re-imagined.
